Mitsuhiro Fujishiro is a professor at the Department of Gastroenterology, The University of Tokyo and a visiting professor at Nagoya University in order to advance research and education in the wide field of gastroenterology with his colleagues, especially endoscopic diagnosis and treatments for Gastrointestinal disease. He is a director of the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine, the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society and the Japanese Society of Gastroenterology. He is a board-certified specialist in these scientific societies. He also serves as a director of the Asian Pacific Digestive Week Federation and a councilor of the Asian Pacific Society of Digestive Endoscopy. He is primarily interested in endoscopic diagnosis and treatment for early-stage GI neoplasms, having more than 600 English publications and more than one hundred times of foreign invitations.
