Prof Rajiv Jalan

RAJIV JALAN [MBBS; MD; PhD; FRCP; FRCPE, FAASLD] is a clinician scientist. He is a Professor of Hepatology at UCL, previous Scientific Director of EF CLIF Governing Board and Editor in Chief of Journal of Hepatology. His main interests are in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of organ dysfunction in liver failure and using the knowledge to develop new therapies. His research has been funded by many peer-reviewed grants, which have led to discovery of several novel therapeutic approaches, spin out companies, the publication of over 550 peer-reviewed papers and his H-Index is 120.
