Dr. Simon Wong is the Consultant Surgeon of the Chinese University of Hong Kong Medical Centre (CUHKMC). He is appointed as the Honorary Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) since 2008 and the honorary consultant of Prince of Wales Hospital. Dr Simon Wong is the Chairman of the Hong Kong Society of Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery (HKSMBS) and the immediate Past President of Asia-Pacific Metabolic & Bariatric Surgical Society (APMBSS). He also represents Hong Kong at the International Federation of Surgery of Obesity (IFSO) and its Asia-Pacific Chapter. Dr. Wong’s main clinical and research interests are in the field of bariatric surgery, minimal invasive upper gastrointestinal surgery, and advanced therapeutic endoscopy. He has published more than 100 articles in local and international journals and has delivered lectures in various conferences around the world. In 2002 Dr. Wong established the first Multidisciplinary Combine Obesity Clinic in Hong Kong and currently in charge of the Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery Service at the Prince of Wales Hospital, CUHK.
