Dr. Chua Tju Siang is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Medical Director of AliveoMedical, a specialist gastroenterology group with multiple practices in Singapore. He previously served as Consultant Gastroenterologist at Changi General Hospital and as a Clinical Teacher at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
His clinical interests include gastrointestinal cancer screening, Helicobacter pylori, gut microbiome–related health, obesity, nutrition, and advances in interventional endoscopy.
Dr. Chua is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Chapter of Gastroenterologists, Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and Past President of the Gastroenterological Society of Singapore. He is a member of the APSDE Teaching Skills Workgroup and the APAGE Research Award Committee, and a former Council Member of APAGE. He currently serves as Treasurer and Scientific Co-Chair (Endoscopy) of Asia-Pacific Digestive Week (APDW) 2025.
Dr Chua is actively engaged in the development of clinical guidelines, practice standards, and policy frameworks, as well as in professional society leadership. He has published and co-authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has regularly served as faculty at regional and international conferences.
