Dr Osamu Goto

Dr. Goto is responsible for gastrointestinal endoscopy as Director in the Department of Gastroenterology, Tokyo
Metropolitan Komagome Hospital, mostly concerning both upper and lower GI endoscopic submucosal dissection
(ESD), laparoscopic and endoscopic cooperative surgery (LECS), endoscopic hand suturing (EHS), and other advanced
endoscopic therapies. He has experienced about 2000 ESD, 130 POEM, 200 LECS, 20 endoscopic full-thickness
resection (EFTR), and 100 EHS procedures so far. He is also responsible for teaching young doctors who are
interested in therapeutic endoscopy.
