Pei Yuh, graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Health Science in Nursing. She was awarded the SingHealth Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship to enhance her knowledge in Hepatology Nursing. During her HMDP attachment, she was placed at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, USA, where she gained valuable insights and adopted best practices from leading professionals.
As the pioneer Hepatology Nurse in her specialty, she recognised patient needs and established the Nurse-led Hepatitis Tele-Monitoring Service (NHMS) together with her medical team. This virtual consultation service focuses on Hepatitis B and Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) surveillance through monitoring of patients’ laboratory results. The virtual consultation service provides continuity of care whilst reducing physical clinic visits.
Together with her passionate and dedicated Gastroenterology and Hepatology doctors, nurses, liver pharmacists, medical social workers, and other allied health team members, she hopes that patients will receive the best care through their multidisciplinary care approach.
