Ms Janet is an experienced Advanced Trained Speciality Nurse Clinician in charge of the Nutrition Support Service at SGH. She was trained in University of Virginia Hospital in Advanced Nutrition Support Care in 2006. She furthered her training in 2016 at Toronto University Hospital in Advanced Oncology Parenteral Nutrition for Home Care.
She champions the Home TPN training and is a strong advocator for gastrostomy feeding (PEG) in management for long term NGT patients. She runs a Nurse-led PEG Clinic for a special group of patients requiring Home Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.
Ms Janet is the first Speciality Nurse Clinician in Singapore and SEA to be awarded the accreditation certification from SingHealth Academy under Clinical College of Nursing to conduct a 2-day course in certifying nurse champion for changing of Gastrostomy feeding tube.
This course is conducted bi-annually with a limit of 25 participants.
