AI Medical Service (AIM) is a Tokyo-based start-up focused on eliminating gastrointestinal (GI) cancers using endoscopic AI. GI cancers are the leading cause of cancer mortality worldwide, accounting for approximately 30% of all cancer deaths. The high mortality rate is primarily due to late detection, as early-stage cancers are often missed. More than 20% of cancers are overlooked due to human limitations. Additionally, many developed countries, except Japan, face a shortage of skilled endoscopists, leading to diagnoses at advanced stages. AIM aims to advance endoscopic medicine and eliminate GI cancers by enabling earlier detection through AI.
