Nonthalee Pausawasdi received her M.D. degree from Thailand and completed her postdoctoral research training, internal medicine residency, GI fellowship, and advanced endoscopy fellowship training at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine, GI Division, Department of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.
She is the Immediate Past President of the Thai Association for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (TAGE) and the Program Director for the WGO endoscopy training program at Siriraj Endoscopy Center in Bangkok, Thailand. Also, she co-founded the Women in Gastrointestinal Network Asia Pacific (WIGNAP), and she is the current President of WIGNAP.
Furthermore, she serves as the Chair of Women and Leadership committee, Asian Pacific Association of Gastroenterology (APAGE), Co-chair of the outreach program for Asia-Pacific, World Endoscopy Organization (WEO), treasurer, Asian EUS Group (AEG), Vice president, the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Taskforce Asian Pacific (GI-TAP), and committee member, the Asia-Pacific Society of Digestive Endoscopy (A-PSDE). She has been working on many projects to improve the quality of endoscopy training in underserved areas worldwide.
She is a member of the editorial boards for GIE, EUS journal, and TIGE. Her clinical and research interests are in the area of ERCP, EUS, and bariatric endoscopy.
