Jonathan Lee

Dr. Jonathan Lee is a clinician-scientist at NUS Medicine and Senior Consultant in Gastroenterology at the National University Hospital, Singapore. He leads the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Unit and the clinical fecal microbiota transplant program, with a dedicated focus on microbiome medicine and translational applications in gastrointestinal diseases. He is also the co-founder and CSO of the Asia Microbiome Library. Dr. Jonathan Lee completed a PhD at NUS and a full-time research fellowship at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, specializing in multi-omics integration and host-microbiome interactions. His research has contributed to key discoveries in microbiome biomarkers for gastrointestinal cancers and inflammatory diseases, published in leading journals such as Cell Host & Microbe, Cancer Cell, Gut and other leading journals. He spearheads multi-center efforts in microbiome biobanking and analytics, and leads microbiome research for major national initiatives in GI diseases. Through interdisciplinary collaborations and innovative microbiome-based strategies, Dr. Jonathan Lee aims to advance precision medicine approaches.
