Dr. Gew Lai Teck is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur, a leading private tertiary referral center in Malaysia. After completing his fellowship in Sydney under Dr. Saurabh Gupta and advanced luminal endoscopy training with Dr. Christopher Khor, he was appointed Head of the Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Unit at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, where he led one of the busiest endoscopy services in the country.
Dr. Gew specializes in Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD), and Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM). He remains actively involved in hands-on training workshops for both doctors and endoscopy nurses across Malaysia.
He has played a key role in developing structured training programs and is frequently invited to speak and train at national and regional meetings. His interests include clinical research, service planning, and guideline development in gastroenterology.
