Dr. Tham Kwang Wei is a Senior Consultant Endocrinologist at Woodlands Health, National Healthcare Group (NHG), Singapore. After completing her Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the Cleveland Clinic, USA, she joined the Singapore General Hospital in 2005, where she was part of a core team establishing an inter-disciplinary care team in obesity management.
Her clinical experience and interest in the various aspects of obesity care and management, including weight bias and obesity stigma, has led her to research interests in these areas and to her involvement in pivotal consensuses.
She is the current President of the Singapore Association for the Study of Obesity, a member of the Clinical Care Committee, World Obesity Federation and the Chair of the Integrated Health Committee, International Federation Society of Surgery for Obesity and Metabolic Disorders Asia Pacific Chapter (IFSO APC).
