Prof Iain is an accomplished and renowned clinician scientist and internationally recognized colorectal medical oncologist serving as Deputy Chair, Division of Medical Oncology. He received the NMRC Clinician Scientist Award – Senior Investigator (CSA-SI) in 2023 and was also conferred the distinguished Goh Hak Su Professorship that year. His research experience spans clinical and translational research, clinical trials, population health and data science. As corresponding principal investigator, Iain leads Colo-SCRIPT (Colorectal cancer subtype-specific research informs phenotypes, diagnostics & treatments), a national program awarded in the prestigious Open Fund – Large Collaborative Grant (OF-LCG) in 2024. He also leads data science research initiatives for SingHealth cluster as Deputy Group Chief Medical Informatics Officer (Research), for NCCS as Director, Data & Digital Office and nationally in the Consortium for Clinical Research and Innovation (CRIS), MOHH. In this national role, Iain uses data science to support health initiatives, through engagement with policy makers.
