Dr Goh is an experienced subspecialty surgeon who as of 2025 has performed over 2,000 major subspecialty HPB/transplant surgeries since completing surgical training and becoming a Singapore board-certified specialist surgeon. Presently, he is one of the most experienced surgeons in Southeast-Asia for minimally-invasive HPB surgery having personally performed over 1,000 laparoscopic and robotic major HPB surgeries (> 600 liver, > 250 pancreas) as the lead surgeon. He has also tutored numerous subspecialty colleagues in many more such procedures. Regionally, Dr Goh pioneered many advanced laparoscopic HPB surgeries and is frequently invited to lecture and proctor local/regional surgeons. He also pioneered robotic HPB surgery in the region in 2013 and has personally performed over 200 major robotic HPB surgeries as the main console surgeon. Dr Goh has a Master of Science in research and is active in both clinical and translational research. He has held over SGD 75 million in grant funding as PI or CoI and has authored or co-authored over 460 PubMed indexed articles. He has a H index of 68 and his academic work has been cited over 16,500 times. Dr Goh is frequently invited to share his expertise and has delivered over 300 scientific presentations at international scientific meetings including over 150 invited lectures. He has also received several international awards in recognition for his contributions to the field.
