Dr. Byong Duk Ye is a Professor of Gastroenterology and Director of the inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) Center at Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea. His research focuses on the etiopathogenesis of IBD and prediction of therapeutic responses using multiomic approaches. He serves as Secretary General of the Korean Association for the Study of Intestinal Diseases. Dr. Ye received his MD and PhD degrees from Seoul National University and was a visiting scientist at the Cedars-Sinai Inflammatory Bowel and Immunobiology Research Institute (2014–2016). He has authored over 300 publications in leading journals including Lancet, Gastroenterology, and Gut. He is Deputy Editor of the Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and Associate Editor of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases.
