Professor Mitsuhiro KIDA, MD, PhD, is currently the Executive Consultant of Endoscopy Center of Kitasato University Hospital, He graduated from Kitasato University in 1981 and completed his gastroenterology training in the Kitasato University. He also completed his overseas training with instruction of Professor Nib Soehendra in the Hamburg University in Germany from July, 1993 to August, 1994 and was also invited by Professor Meinhard Classen as the lecturer of Technical University Munich in 1999. His research interests include ERCP and advanced interventional EUS, and innovates related devices such as endoscopy (forward viewing EUS, 3D-EUS, short-type enteroscopy, and hands-on models, anatomy, PFC drainage, and HGS models.).
He has currently worked as the chairman of the Asian EUS group for last 4 years and member of ERCP of the World Endoscopy Organization, is in the several international editorial board member. He has published over 250 journal papers and written 5 book chapters.
