Prof. Pramod Garg is currently the Chair of Gastroenterology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He is a renowned physician-scientist with seminal research contributions in the field of pancreatic diseases and has developed newer and effective therapies for patients with pancreatitis. He has published >250 original articles, including several seminal papers in prestigious journals such as JAMA, Gastroenterology, and Gut, with an h-index of 62 and >33000 citations. He is a fellow of all 4 national science societies and also the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) (Glasg). He has been conferred with many awards by the Indian Council of Medical Research, Indian Society of Gastroenterology, and American Pancreatic Association for outstanding contribution to science. He is currently the ‘Editor-in-Chief’ of the international journal ‘Pancreatology’.
