Prof Rupjyoti Talukdar

Rupjyoti Talukdar

Dr. Rupjyoti Talukdar is the Director of Pancreatology at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, Hyderabad, and leads the Pancreas Research Group and Division of Gut Microbiome Research at the Institute of Translational Research, Asian Healthcare Foundation. He serves as Adjunct Professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Johns Hopkins Institute, USA.
Dr. Talukdar is trained at Gauhati Medical College, PSRI New Delhi, University of Minnesota, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, and University of New South Wales, Sydney. His clinical research focuses primarily on pancreatic genetics, pain mechanisms, and pain phenotyping/management in chronic pancreatitis. His basic research focus on the pathobiology of acute pancreatitis and the gut microbiome. He has several scientific publications, book chapters, and invited lectures to his credit.
Dr. Talukdar serves as an Academic editor of several international journals and is a councillor of the International Association of Pancreatology and Indian Pancreas Club.
