Professor Ang is Senior Consultant, Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Head, Department of Integrated Digesitve and Metabolic Health, and Head, Research Division, at Changi General Hospital. He is Clinical Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and Adjunct Professor at YLL School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and LKC School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University. He has subspecialty clinical interests in advanced endoscopy, particularly ERCP, interventional EUS and EMR/ ESD. His research interests include the use of image enhancement technologies and artificial intelligence in endoscopy, and gut microbiome. He is Chairperson of the Gastroenterology Residency Advisory Committee. He is Council member of Academy of Medicine, Singapore (AMS), APAGE and Chair of APAGE Taskforce on Green and Sustainability in Gastroenterology. He previously served as Chief, Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Changi General Hospital, President of the Gastroenterological Society of Singapore, and Chairperson of the Chapter of Gastroenterologists, AMS.
