Dr Shirley Liu subspecializes in endocrine and bariatric surgery after obtaining fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong in 2010. She currently serves as the Department Chief of Surgery at Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital in Hong Kong, and the Head of Endocrine Surgery Division and Clinical Associate Professor (Honorary) at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Dr Liu also holds key leadership roles in Hong Kong’s surgical discipline, including Councillor of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong, President of the Hong Kong Society of Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition, Vice President of the Hong Kong Association of Endocrine Surgeons, Honorary Treasurer of the Hong Kong Society of Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery and Council Members of the Hong Kong Society of Minimal Access Surgery and the Hong Kong Thyroid Society.
